The Devon Rex breed was found in England in 1959 and has short, curly hair that feels like suede and can be patchy in some places. Unlike most cats, this breed has no guard hair, making its shedding minimal. It has a hypoallergenic coat, which is good for cat lovers with allergies. The Cornish Rex looks much like the Devon Rex with short, wavy, velvety fur. These cats barely shed and are generally very affectionate and friendly towards their owners.
