One of the best ways to make sure that your puppy is getting the proper nutrition is to prepare their puppy food and puppy treats
in your own kitchen. Puppies need a diet that is high in protein,
enriched with vitamins, minerals, and fats essential for their growth.

treat recipes that we enjoy preparing for our husky puppies.
The following recipes are used for supplementing store bought puppy food. We feed our puppies Wellness Super5Mix: Just For Puppy. This particular puppy food provides the optimal balance of nutrient-rich foods that will fulfill the unique health needs of a growing puppy. Chicken Pup Pie
Ingredients:
1 boneless chicken breasts
2 carrots
1 small sweet potato
Directions: Boil the chicken breast until fully cooked. Let cool. Steam carrots and sweet potato until soft. Cut up chicken, carrots, and sweet potatoes into small pieces. Mix all ingredients together. Add one cup of Wellness puppy food to small bowl. Add 1/2 cup of chicken mixture to the dry kibble. Mix together and serve.
Siberian Husky Puppy Treats
Ingredients:
1 cup oat flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 tsp. light brown sugar (optional)
2 tsp. egg whites
1 1/2 cups water
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the oat flour and rolled oats. Add brown sugar, egg whites, and water. Mix together until a dough forms. Roll dough into one thickness. Use a cookie cutter in the shape of a Siberian Husky to cut out treats. Place treats on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool. Store in air tight container for up to three weeks.
We enjoy baking these homemade puppy treats for our husky pups. They are healthy and really pay tribute to the breed. If you do not want to use the brown sugar in the recipe, you can substitute this ingredient with peanut butter or a small jar of baby food. Be sure the baby food does not contain onion. Our pups really enjoy these treats! They also make great gifts for someone who just got a new Siberian Husky puppy.
