The Bengal's coat is presented in two patterns namely the ocelot-like and the marble; from 3 to 16 weeks of age, Bengal cats may show some fuzziness in their coats and some blurs in the markings. However, this is normal and is expected to disappear gradually, revealing a coat that is luxurious and rich in color. The life span of a Bengal cat is usually up to 13 years; however, some are able to live as long as 15 years, provided that they are well taken care of. They are normally sized medium to large, large-boned and can weigh up to 18 lbs for males and 12.1 lbs for females. Despite their background and physical strength, these cats are naturally not aggressive; they have a shyness and intelligence about them that enables them to relate with humans quite well.
